1. HOW DO I GET CONSIDERED FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH HALCYON?
   Please go to the “Getting Appointed” page of this website and print the two forms attached. Fax or E-mail the Agency Application, Agency Agreement, a copy of your Agent’s License and a copy of your Agency’s E&O (dec page or cert) to Tinamarie Harrington.
   
   
2. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS ARE YOU MOST SUCCESSFUL IN WRITING?
   Halcyon writes standard, as well as E&S type business. For general "package" business, we write primarily contractors, manufacturers, wholesalers, retail stores, offices, lessors risk, technology, financial institutions, up-scale and family style restaurants, business class hotels, golf courses/country clubs, etc. We also specialize in residential and commercial builder's risk coverage, mono-line commercial umbrellas and personal lines.
   
   
3. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS IS GENERALLY INELIGIBLE?
   We are not a market for habitational type business, long-haul trucking, small general contractors, fast food restaurants, accounts with construction defect issues, leasing companies, etc. We do have access to many E&S carriers so we can still write "hard to place" risks as well.
   
   
4. WHO SHOULD I CALL TO DISCUSS A NEW SUBMISSION?
   We have five Production Underwriters that handle all accounts over $20,000 in annual premium. We also have a small business unit that handles all accounts under $20,000. All of our personnel are listed on our company directory. Please feel free to contact any of them to discuss your new business. 5. WHAT INFORMATION IS NEEDED IN ORDER TO GET A QUOTE?
   We ask that all new business be submitted on ACORD applications. Hard copy loss runs, driver lists, MVR's, financial statements, client brochures, supplemental applications, etc. are all helpful (and may be mandatory) in obtaining the most competitive quote available.
